The Thunder put up a resilient, bounce-back performance on Sunday against the No. 1 team in the Western Conference. After a tough loss to the Pacers on Saturday, the Thunder invoked its zero-and-zero mentality to put up a 48-minute effort on the second night of a back-to-back.
Despite trailing by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter, the Thunder kept its foot on the gas to make it a two-possession game with just seconds to go. Although the Thunder fell short of the full comeback, it was a testament to the resilience and maturity of this young group to remain locked into its game plan and execute down the stretch.

After returning from an east coast road trip for just one game inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Thunder shipped back out to the northeast for a brief back-to-back starting in Philadelphia against one of the top teams in the entire NBA, the 76ers.
While the Thunder has dropped 13-straight, including a game that got away on Friday against the Washington Wizards, there’s a lot of positivity in the locker room about strides that are being made. There’s also a sense of motivation in using each challenge, like the one presented by Philadelphia, as a way to keep sharpening their games and the team’s collective ability to execute.

Thunder Status
After a week-long trek through the Eastern Conference, the Thunder will return home for one game before setting out on another three-game road trip. While the stretch was demanding, the resilient Thunder, rooted in its process of feedback and development, strung together multiple competitively fought games including a pair of six-point losses against Detroit and Toronto, a hard-fought battle with the Wizards and a nail-biting finish against Indiana on Wednesday.
The Thunder endured a wild game of runs against a depleted Pacers team and put itself in yet another clutch-time situation. With less than a minute to go and down seven points, the Thunder microwaved five points in a matter of five seconds to make it a one-possession game. However, made free throws from Pacers leading scorer Malcolm Brogdon left the Thunder unable to get over the hump.

OKC dropped both contests, but now embarks on a prolonged road trip where the squad will play six of its next seven games on the road.
In the game on Wednesday, Thunder forward Darius Bazley led the charge in scoring as he tied a season high with 22 points on 10-of-18 from the field. In the three games since his return from missing 16 games (right shoulder contusion), Bazley has averaged 15.3 points while shooting 51.3 percent from the field. Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault has praised the 20-year-old’s high level of conditioning and sharpness since returning to the lineup.
