Sound Transit to close I-5 NB at SR 104 exit overnight Jan. 22-24 for light-rail crossing work Posted: January 18, 2021 359
During overnight hours Friday, Jan. 22-Sunday, Jan. 24, Sound Transit’s contractor will close the I-5 northbound lanes at Exit 177, SR 104, where traffic will be detoured to Highway 99. The closure is necessary to perform work for the Lynnwood Link Light Rail extension section crossing I-5.
Work will occur on the I-5 northbound shoulder and center median of I-5, between 228th Street Southwest and 236th Place Southwest and near the Mountlake Terrace Freeway Station. (See map for detour information.) Southbound I-5 will remain open in the area.

1000 block 5th Avenue South: A car window was smashed – nothing taken.
24000 block 95th Place West: A front vehicle license plate was reported stolen.
225oo block Highway 99: A shoplifting suspect was contacted by empoyees prior to exiting. Merchandise was recovered but thrown at staff. Suspect was removed.
600 block 5th Avenue South: An unlocked vehicle was prowled and miscellaneous items stolen.
8200 block 218th Street Southwest: A resident confronted a male subject looking through mailboxes. The male was later located by police and arrested for attempted mail theft.
10000 block Edmonds Way: Police received a report of a domestic violence court order violation that occurred through social media at the victim’s work place.

18800 92nd Avenue West: A resident report of two subjects checking vehicle door handles resulted in arrests for vehicle prowling and trespassing.
8400 block 198th Street Southwest: Resident received delivery confirmation of expected package but package was stolen before the owner could retrieve.
23900 block Highway 99: A woman was arrested for burlgary after breaking into a vacant motel room, damaging property and staying overnight without permission.
9300 block 24th Street Southwest: A resident’s work vehicle was broken into overnight.
21900 block Highway 99: Police responded to a shoplift complaint at a business involving an uncooperative suspect and two of suspect’s associates. The two associates were removed from the business and the suspect was arrested for theft, obstruction and a hate crime offense based upon threats and language.
