Hyderabad: Telangana Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on the successful launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C51 / Amazonia-1 mission.

Rao said ISRO has proved to be one of the world s leading space research organizations. He congratulated the scientists, engineers, other technical staff, and employees of the ISRO for the success. The CM said that with the launch of PSLV-C51, ISRO is one of the largest leading organizations in the world.
NEW DELHI: Thanks to a desi startup satellite, the Bhagvad Gita, has now found a home in space. The Hindu religious book was taken to space for the first time by SpaceKidz India’s satellite SD SAT, named after one of the founding fathers of India’s space programme Satish Dhawan, in whose name the Sriharikota launch centre has been christened.
SD SAT was among the 19 satellites launched by Indian Space Research Organisation’s PSLV-C51, which lifted off from Sriharikota at 10.30 am on Sunday. Besides carrying a copy of the Bhagvad Gita in a secure digital card format, the SD SAT also carried the picture of PM Narendra Modi engraved on the top panel of the spacecraft to show solidarity and gratitude for his Atmanirbhar initiative and space sector reforms. SpaceKidz India (SKI) said its satellite also carried the names of 25,000 common people to create awareness about space and get people fascinated about space science.

ISRO launches satellite carrying PM Modi s photo
The PSLV-C51 / Amazonia-1 mission was launched by ISRO from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. On Sunday, India’s PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) C-51 launched with Amazonia-1, a Brazilian satellite, and 18 other satellites. The PSLV-C51 took off from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, about 100 kilometers from Chennai, at about 10.24 a.m., after a 26-hour countdown.
The primary satellite, Amazonia-1, is scheduled to reach orbit about 18 minutes after launch, with the other 18 satellites following in the next two hours. The Space Kidz India (SKI) satellite from Chennai is also among these satellites. An image and name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with a copy of Bhagavad Gita is etched on the spacecraft’s top panel. PSLV-C51 is the 53rd mission of PSLV, according to a tweet from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
