An Australian recruiter hopes the transtasman travel bubble will help fill huge shortages of labour on Australian farms.
In November the Australian Government began offering $2000 for New Zealanders to relocate to help with the shortage of horticulture and agriculture workers.
ALOR SETAR (Bernama): A total of 10,961 or 73.9% of employers were found not complying with the Workers Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446) during inspections conducted by the Labour Department (JTK) from Feb 1 to April 15.

(pic) said the department has conducted inspections on 14,835 employers nationwide, involving 95,870 employee accommodation units. Of the total employers inspected, 3,874 or 26.1% of them met (the criteria), while others still failed to comply with the act. Inspections were also carried out on 616,216 workers, namely, 572,518 foreign workers and 43,698 local workers. A total of 625 investigation papers were opened for various offences, including accommodation not certified by the JTK director-general, non-compliance with local authority (PBT) laws and not providing rest and dining areas to employees,” he said to reporters after the Tautan Kasih with Kedah Media event on Saturda

Former Chateau Marmont workers asked the U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) to ensure that Chateau Marmont comply with Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan requirements.

According to public records, the hotel was approved for a $1.95 million PPP loan on February 5, 2021, and as of April 13 the loan had been disbursed but not paid in full or charged off, according to the SBA. While the PPP program was intended to keep workers on payroll, only a small fraction of laid-off Chateau workers have been returned to their jobs.

A TikTok star staying at a luxury resort in Miami Beach, Florida, has slammed the accommodation for smelling like garbage and leaving dead birds by the pool.
Veronica Reign, who has 210k followers on the social platform, said that after visiting the resort throughout her childhood, she decided to book a stay with her boyfriend to relive the amazing memories together.
But after arriving to a room that allegedly smelt like garbage , there were dead birds by the pool and said the hotel is trashed .
