Punk is more than just a music genre, it s a way of life. Cher Strauberry has embraced this mantra, both as a professional skater and as a performer. She s made her mark in the skating world, taking home trophies in competitions at just 12 and donating one of her boards to The Smithsonian. Now, she s putting all of her focus into music and is ready to show the world a very different side of her through her debut solo record, CHERing is Caring coming to a streaming platform near you on June 18, 2021. We sat down with Cher to learn how she fell in love with punk, what inspired this record and what went down during her first tattoo.

Renowned Indian music director Shravan Rathod, of popular musician duo Nadeem-Shravan, died on Thursday due to Covid-19 related complications.
Shravan was admitted to a hospital in a critical condition after testing positive for Covid-19. He breathed his last around 10:15 PM on Thursday, his son Sanjeev Rathore said.
On Monday, Sanjeev had confirmed the coronavirus diagnosis, saying: Yes, he tested positive for Covid and is admitted to SL Raheja hospital in Mahim, adding that he is very critical as he has other comorbidities also. Please pray for him.

Kareshma Martin s run on reality show Popstars has come to an end but the Whanganui-based musician said getting to the top 27 has been very validating . And now the singer - who goes by the stage name Reshma - hopes to be able to use the experience as a springboard to release new music. It was a tough one, because everyone there was super, super talented, Martin said.

Electronic musician Lilstiffy has returned to Whanganui from Tokyo and he s brought a new album, Ecma, with him.
The Lilstiffy project began in Wellington in 2014, he said. It started with making beats and working with rappers, and running regular club nights. I got sick of Wellington and decided to move to Tokyo, and I pretty much did the same thing there, playing a lot of club nights and organising shows. I was working away and doing my thing, and I lived over there for about three years.
