Longtime Aspen Music Festival and School opera program director Edward Berkeley died unexpectedly on Saturday.
The news was announced from the stage at the Benedict Music Tent on Saturday night moments before a performance of “The Magic Flute,” directed by Berkeley, was to begin. The show went on, dedicated to the director, who was in his 40th season on faculty at the festival.

Toby Keith was just announced a a headliner for Lakefront Music Fest in 2022. The news was announced on Facebook, just days after the 2021 festival wrapped up. The festival shared they were excited to announce the country star as the star of the show.
Toby Keith will be playing on Saturday, July 9th of 2022. It may seem far away but tickets are actually available as we speak. Tickets are not sold at the gate so even though it is a year away, you will want to plan ahead.

FLINTSHIRE’S biggest music festival will be coming to the county next year. Jeff Ford-Foyne, entertainer and agent who runs Exclusive Gold Entertainment Agency, said he is pleased to be back doing what he loves as coronavirus restrictions ease. The Leader previously reported that Jeff, who lives in Queensferry, was unable to perform in Wales due to the coronavirus restrictions and said entertainers had been ‘forgotten about’. However, he is now looking to the future as he has organised Flintshire’s biggest music festival – all in the aim of raising money for Alder Hey Children’s hospital. Flintshire Music Fest will be held on June 3 and June 4, 2022 from 12pm to 8pm and tickets are now on sale.
