The Reds finished the season in third place. It was a tumultuous season, exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic and a thin squad. After months of uncertainty and pain Liverpool have blown the doors open and are in the conversation for finishing among the Champions League qualification spots after defeating Aston Villa 2-1.
