earching through a sea of 100 kids, Don Chevarie couldn’t place his eyes on his daughter. He looked away for a brief moment after a game, and she was gone when he looked back.
Don and 12-year-old Bianca Chevarie had traveled from Ontario to Ohio State for her first youth lacrosse camp. One of the coaches had pulled Chevarie to another group one with high schoolers and college kids as the rest of the players made their way to the sideline.

Mike Tindall is married to the Queen’s eldest granddaughter Zara Tindall, and recently announced that they are expecting their third child later this year. Soca Warriors head coach Terry Fenwick blamed the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) inadequate development programme in general and the poor concentration of his players in particular, as the Men’s National Senior Team slumped to a joint national record 7-0 loss last night in friendly action away to the United States in Orlando.
It was Fenwick’s opening game in charge since he was hired in December 2019, on US$20,000 (TT$135,000) per month, and the Warriors fell behind after just one minute and 43 seconds and never recovered. They trailed 4-0 at the half and conceded three more in the opening 17 minutes of the second half.

The Soca Warriors’ friendly international match against the United States tomorrow on Sunday 31 January will be broadcast live on WESN, within Trinidad and Tobago’s borders, in a welcome fillip for local football fans.
Warriors supporters were routinely unable to catch sight of their team during the David John-Williams-led administration as no feed was secured for the twin island republic while they played across the globe.
