Mohammed Rahman appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday over drug and driving offences near Worcester. The 37-year-old of Malthouse Croft, Birmingham, admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine (3.74g), a class A drug, with intent to supply when he appeared before Judge Nicolas Cartwright. He also admitted dangerous driving while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf on the same date on the A440 Pershore Lane and the A38. Simon Phillips, prosecuting, said that £2,850 had been found in the defendant s car on the day in question. The court heard that £35 was also found in the defendant s pocket. William Dudley, defending, said there was no basis of plea from the defendant and that the defence case did not depart from that advanced by the Crown. However, he said: Mr Iqbal (Rahman s co-defendant) was essentially the main man in this operation. The defendant was his driver.
