LAHORE (Dunya News) – The number of police officials injured due to torture during religious party protest in Lahore has climbed to 125, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, the police officials of Civil Lines Division suffered the severe torture where one official embraced martyrdom while 53 officials sustained injuries.
The number of police officers and jawan injured in Cantt Division stands at 20. SHO Defence Police Station and SHO Manawan Police Station were among the injured police officials.

France has advised that French citizens and companies should temporarily leave Pakistan due to serious threats on French interests in the country, said a diplomatic source on Thursday, after violent clashes in the country this week.
Thousands of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protesters had clashed with police earlier this week in protest against the arrest of their leader ahead of rallies denouncing French cartoons.
The diplomatic source added on Thursday that a message had been sent overnight to French citizens and companies following a threat by the hardline group to target French interests.
Federal government to impose ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan

Following the protests after Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s leader’s arrest, federal government has decided to impose a ban on TLP.
Federal minister Sheikh Rashid while talking to media said that the government has decided to put a ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan due to the violence and disturbances created by the TLP.
TLP will be put under ban according to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. Sheikh Rashid said that TLP protesters instigated violence and snatched rifles from police and fired.
It is to be noted that TLP chief Saad Rizvi was arrested from Punjab capital’s Iqbal Town area, where he had gone to attend a funeral.

More than 100 supporters were arrested as Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) ‘s protest entered the second day.
Amid sporadic violent clashes between protestors and law enforcement agencies, all major arteries of the country remained blocked on Tuesday.
Protests erupted across Pakistan after authorities detained TLP chief Sahibzada Saad Hussain Rizvi on April 12.
According to a TLP spokesperson, Rizvi was arrested from Punjab capital’s Iqbal Town area, where he had gone to attend a funeral.
Saad Rizvi is the son of the firebrand cleric, and previous head of the TLP, Khadim Hussain Rizvi, who died in November last year.
