Benny’s involvement with Bathurst Broadcasters Pty Limited began in 1997. Benny has hosted many programs on 99.3 B-Rock FM – mostly breakfast during his 15 years with the company.
Benny has won numerous Australian Commercial Radio Awards including Best Music Director. Benny’s favourite moments on radio have been ones where B-Rock teamed up with local businesses to help give back to members of the community. Benny left in 2017 to pursue other career opportunities full time but returned back in late 2019 to BRock.

2021 ACRAs to go ahead in Sydney on October 30
The Australian Commercial Radio Awards will proceed this year, Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has confirmed, following last year’s cancellation.
The 32nd annual ACRAs will take place in Sydney at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour on Saturday, October 30.
Entries for the awards, covering the past two years, opened today.
CRA said it is expecting about 900 stars, personalities and executives to attend this year’s event.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring the industry together once again,” CRA’s CEO Joan Warner said.
“The ACRAs will be returning to Sydney for the first time since 2012 and we’re determined to make this a very special event for the radio teams across the country.
Entries for the ACRAs open on Monday
This year’s awards will cover an extended timeframe as the 2020 event was cancelled in light of COVID-19 restrictions.
The Best Station Sales Achievement, Best Agency Salesperson and Best Direct Salesperson will cover the past two full calendar years (January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020). Entries for all other categories must be for work that was broadcast and/ or active between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2021.
There are 39 categories this year including Best On-Air Team, Best Program Director, Best Podcast by a Radio Show, Best Newcomer On-Air and Best Syndicated Australian Program.
Entrants for last year’s canned event can be resubmitted, and no entry fees were collected in 2020.
