The Australian Classification Board has Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum n Fun classified for release (G, by the way) which was a complete surprise to me as I certainly wasn t searching for it or expecting it. The fact that it has been peer-reviewed by the board (it is not an automated IARC rating) indicates a retail release.
It s interesting to note as well that it appears to be keeping its original Japanese title rather than the Taiko Drum Master branding of the days of old (with the addition of the Drum n Fun subtitle for Western audiences).
Nothing else is known about the Western version of Taiko no Tatsujin at this stage and I m now left wondering whether it is still worth importing, as the Japanese title seems to imply that Japanese tracks will be included. Of course, Japanese artists are known for being extraordinarily difficult and territorial with their rights, so this remains to be seen.
