Keith McNally, owner of some of New York’s most glamorous restaurants, took to Instagram outraged last week, owing to an unannounced stand-up from Graydon Carter, the ex-Vanity Fair Editor.
The story goes like this: Carter booked a table for 12 people at 1pm on a busy day at McNally’s top-tier Morandi restaurant, then failed to show up. According to McNally, extra staff had been brought in to help with the service and Carter’s actions cost Morandi money, as well as tip money for the servers.

The idea of adding justices has been gaining steam in recent months, due in part to liberal objections to the justices nominated by President Trump. But Ashley Baker, director of public policy at the Committee for Justice, thinks adding justices is a bad idea. It s a big reversal from Biden, notes Baker. In 1983, Joe Biden said packing the court was a terrible idea, then Justice [Ruth] Ginsburg said packing the Court was a bad idea. Now Justice [Stephen] Breyer is saying the same thing.
OWNERS of a former Blockbuster shop which has become an eyesore have been ordered to clear up the site in a bid to improve the area. The former film rental business, on London Road, Westcliff, has become a blight on the area since it closed in 2013, with a damaged roof and windows boarded up. A Section 215 Notice has now been served to the owners, demanding they remove all posters and replace any missing or broken doors and windows. The Blockbuster sits on the corner of London Road and has been described as “the gateway” to Hamlet Court Road. Andy Atkinson, chairman of the Hamlet Court Road conservation forum said: “The notice to get something done is definitely welcome news.
