Next month, Manhattan will see the opening of Harry Potter New York, a flagship store and immersive experience that will “house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world from pocket money items to rare collectibles.” The store will feature over 20,00 square feet of shopping, immersive activities, a butterbeer bar, and all sorts of Instagram-friendly photo ops, as well as props from the film series.
The store is the latest addition to Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling’s ever-growing empire, which includes multiple theme parks, studio tours, and enough merch to fill the Room of Requirement. As predicted, the Left is losing its mind over the Supreme Court’s decision to hear a case challenging New York’s restrictive “may-issue” concealed carry licensing laws. One common theme is emerging in the hours after the Court’s decision was made public: it’s horrible timing on the part of the justices to decide to hear the case, what with all the violence we’ve had lately.
Over at Jezebel, writer Ashley Reese is fretting that the Court could make it “easier to carry a gun” at a time when we’ve seen several recent mass shooting, none of which were committed by individuals with concealed carry licenses.

Allies of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are working overtime to discredit the seven women who have come forward with sexual harassment allegations against him. The new line: It’s dangerous for white women to make accusations against Cuomo because… something something… Emmett Till.
On Monday, New York politics blog PoliticsNY published an exclusive titled “Black Female Ex-Cuomo Employee Questions Sexual Harassment Allegations.” In it, an anonymous Black woman attorney who worked in Cuomo’s executive chamber for several years and a Harlem assemblywoman, Inez Dickens, claim that the accusations against Cuomo are suspicious and politically motivated.
