PORT CARBON â A woman charged with writing a bad check to the Borough of Minersville on Feb. 28 had charges against her held for court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.
Melodie J. Windermuth, 51, of 114 Greenbury Road, Pottsville, was arrested by Minersville police Patrolman Michael Bucek and charged with one count of bad checks.

Bucek charged Wildermuth with issuing a check to the borough for $231.84 for utilities but the check was returned for insufficient funds.
