Burnley striker Ashley Barnes BURNLEY S Ashley Barnes was arrested for drink-driving after last week’s win over Fulham that secured Premier League survival. The striker was stopped by police near to his home in Wilmslow, Cheshire in the early hours of Tuesday, May 11, having helped the Clarets to a 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage the previous evening. The 31-year-old was arrested and charged with drink-driving and is due to appear in court on June 14. Sean Dyche confirmed the news after Barnes had been an unused substitute in Wednesday night’s defeat against Liverpool. “It is the case and that will be dealt with the powers that be, which is the police of course,” he added.
