How Hearst built its superintendent contract database FacebookTwitterEmail Some recent school superintendent contracts received under public records requests.Viktoria Sundqvist / Hearst Connecticut Media Staff at Hearst Connecticut sent out initial requests for public school superintendent contracts on Feb. 22. Requests were emailed directly to each of the 153 superintendents at the contact information listed on the school district’s website or found via the Connecticut Department of Education.  Thirty-two contracts were received that same day. Fourteen districts had the superintendent’s contract posted for the public on their websites. Reminders were sent out every two weeks to districts who had not yet responded, and contracts kept coming in through March, April and May. The last two contracts were received on June 1.
