FASTag harassment
It is extremely unfortunate that compulsory applicability of FASTag at Toll Plazas on National Highways is rolled out by the Central Government, inconveniencing a large number of travelers. While e-payment facilities should be encouraged, the way it has been enforced is an almost draconian. There is a price to be paid for a FASTag kit, too. The Central Government would levy 100% penalty on vehicles without FASTag. Further, many of the Toll Plazas are almost within the vicinity of the cities, towns and even villages. Applicability of FASTag was introduced in 2016, but the Government forgot issuance of FASTag at time of vehicle registration or renewal of vehicle registration, itself. The Government seems to have forgotten

Targeting Brahmins
The spokesperson of Raijor Dol, Kamal Medhi is trying to distort history. He has put serious allegations against the Brahmin Samaj of Nilachal Hills in the battle of Saraighat. Kamal Kumar Medhi in an election rally tried to give full credit to Muslim soldiers for the victory of Great Lachit Borphukann s army. Has he forgotten or trying to hide the bravery of Shims, Nagas, Dimasa, Karni, Kachari warriors who fought under the leadership of Great Lachit Borphukan and defeated the Mughals. Kamal Kumar Medhi must show in which history book it is mentioned about the betrayal of Brahmin people . If he has problem with Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma politically it s alright but he shouldn t have dragged the entire Brahmin community. It has become a habit for Leftist mindset people to target Hindu people without fact

The proposed Ram Mandir
As per reports, the State government has allotted certain bighas of land in Guwahati for construction of a Ram Mandir. As this news got air, a section of secularists have immediately questioned the Government of pursuing Hindutva agenda. At the same breathe, questions were thrown at the Government why no masjid is constructed simultaneously. These same breed of animals never question the authority when big masjids are constructed across the nook and corner of the State. Even in remote places for example Barpeta district one would see huge masjids being built in short intervals. We have never seen any violent protest from the pseudo secularists when roadside constructed mandirs are demolished by the authority. In fact, we support the authorities concerned for demolishing the illegally constru

Youth awareness
I would like to highlight the other side of the New Year picnics. It is about the youth, the youths while in picnic spots get too drunk and simultaneously, we encounter different news about frequent road mishap of a few excessively drunk visitors while returning from picnic spot. There are several reports coming from various picnic spots about how youths after taking overdoses of alcohol, involve into fights or arguments either with locals or with other picnic parties. The authorities of the picnic spots should keep an eye on the visitors, especially the youths, prohibit them from using alcohol and other addictive beverages, in order to overcome these kind of situations in future.

The other side of picnics
Winter has come to the World in pursuit of eternal truth. Winter pleasantness is completely different. During the winter, people are busy picnicking around. The joy of eating with friends and family in the midst of the natural environment is unmatched by the warmth of winter, away from the monotony and mechanics. But nowadays, when there are picnics in different places, unnecessary chaos are observed. As a result, the entire picnic area is filled with noise pollution and the forest birds are terrified. In addition, some people leave a place after a picnic where they throw away plastic items and as a result the place becomes unsuitable for others to use. On the other hand, it causes soil and air pollution. The most unfortunate and worrying thing is that even educated people drink alcohol during picnics and pollute the environment. Such drunken people are also seen arguing with other picnic parties d
