Thie wait is finally over as Challenging Star Darshan & Co. are here to make a grand entry onto the big screen with Roberrt . Coming out simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu, Roberrt is this week s sole release (in Kannada) and the stage, as it would seem, couldn t have been set better for the film to flex its muscles.
Having been in the making for quite some time, Roberrt has certainly had its share of delays and inconveniences. Apart from the unavoidable break due to the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Roberrt s Telugu version too hit a major roadblock when the Telugu Film Chamber had implored the makers to delay the release by a week or two in Andhra and Telangana states. However, the situation was handled by the right authorities and the film was able to release on the same day as the Kannada version.

Roberrt has finally graced the theatres today (March 11). The action-thriller starring Challenging Star Darshan has also become the first big-budget film to hit the screens post the COVID-19 pandemic. Though the film was originally slated to release in April 2020, the makers were forced to postpone the date owing to the sudden pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
As the film has released on the festive occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the theatres and multiplexes across the state have been witnessing a huge crowd. Darshan s massive fandom and cine-goers sheer eagerness to watch the hyped film, has only added to the already humongous crowd pulled to the theatres.

Challenging Star Darshan s Robert (Roberrt) is the second Kannada big movie to hit the screens in the post-Covid era after Dhruva Sarja s Pogaru. The mega-budget Kannada flick is the second directorial outing of Tharun Sudhir after Chowka.

Asha Bhat has played the female lead in Robert in which Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu has enacted the role of a villain. Ravi Kishan, Devaraj, P Ravi Shankar, Vinod Prabhakar, Avinash, Chikkanna and others are part of the cast.
The film has Arjun Janya s music, V Harikrishna s background score, KM Prakash s editing and Sudhakarr S Raj s editing.
