MUMBAI : Actor Jimmy Sheirgill has had quite a journey in Bollywood, since his first film Maachis in 1996.
A thread that binds together most of his popular films is his avatar as a cop. Right from his powerful demeanour as inspector Arif Khan in A Wednesday to his remarkable roles in Special 26 and Fugly , the actor has delivered notable cop roles in around 10 films. I am offered a lot of cop roles. I pick and choose the ones I really like. I pick the character that has the scope of being portrayed in a different light, Jimmy told IANS.

A cop runs against time to stop a suicide bomber who holds a group of children hostage in a school. The bomber forces the cop to commit certain unlawful acts, if he must see the children alive and, of course, there is a twist in all this.
“Collar Bomb” operates using a basic thriller format. The film has an interesting idea about one’s past actions catching up, but stops short of becoming the pulsating psychological play that the narrative seems to promise. The story never quite engages the viewer despite introducing the mandatory twists, and it does get too absurd to be logical.

Actor Jimmy Shergill was seen flouting the Covid-19 protocols in April this year. The actor was reportedly shooting in Ludhiana for his upcoming web show Your Honour 2. He was present at a school along with director E. Niwas and the entire unit of the show.
The team along with Jimmy were booked under several sections by the Ludhiana police. Recently, while talking to a tabloid, the actor opened up about the incident and revealed that he wasn t allowed to talk about it at that time. According to him, things were just blown out of proportion as nobody would break a rule amidst the pandemic. He further also said that people became more careful after the incident, and that was a good thing and he looks at it from a positive side.
