An Estonian-developed e-service system goes live in Ukraine

The Estonian-origin backbone for government e-services – the Trembita system – has gone live in Ukraine and connects more than 80 authorities and local governments, working as the basis of the most popular digital services.
To date, more than 180 interactions have been established between electronic registers and information systems of government authorities through the Trembita system. These interactions serve as the basis for digital services development. As an example, the very popular services eBaby, the childbirth registration and benefit application service, and ID-14, the primary identity card application service, are operating based on the Trembita system, Estonia’s e-Governance Academy said in a statement.

Estonia s e-Governance Academy and Japanese think tank MURC establish joint venture

The Estonian e-Governance Academy and Japanese think tank Mitsubishi UFJ Research and Consulting Co., Ltd (MURC) established a joint venture on December 8 to provide digital transformation services for governments in Japan and the Asian region, informed eGA.
The name of the new enterprise is Digital Governance Academy Asia-Pacific or D-GAP. The joint venture will use the knowledge accumulated in Estonia to provide high-quality training, survey and consulting services to meet the diverse needs related to the digital government in Japan and overseas. The knowledge transfer will be focused on supporting Japanese and Asian governments in the implementation of the one-stop shop and once-only approaches in public administration, the e-Governance Academy said.
