Gardaí alerted to a suspicious looking insurance certificate on vehicle windscreen

While gardaí were conducting an Operation Lifesaver checkpoint at Marlfield village on Sunday, May 2, they were alerted to a suspicious looking insurance certificate on a vehicle s windscreen.
On further inspection, gardaí noted that the disc was in fact false and photocopied.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged and is to appear in court at a later date.
Two men who allegedly assaulted another man during a violent row in Edgeworthstown over two years ago are to be served with books of evidence.
A Brazilian meat factory worker who was found at the wheel with an out of date driving licence was last week told by Judge Seamus Hughes to “bring a box of fillet steaks” with him when his case returns before the courts later this year.

Funeral details have been confirmed for the wife of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds.
88-year-old Kathleen Reynolds passed away following a long illness at her family home in Dublin on Tuesday morning.
Tributes to the mother of seven have been led by the Taoiseach and have also included figures from across the world of politics such as former Sinn president Gerry Adams.

A family-only Funeral Mass will take place on this Friday at 11.00am in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook with the mass being live streamed.

Ms Reynolds was 88 had been ill for some time.
She died in the early hours of this morning at the family home in Dublin.
The mother-of-seven supported her husband throughout his political career and travelled with him on
international duties while he was taoiseach between 1992 to 1994.

The death has taken place of the wife of former Taoiseach and Longford native Albert Reynolds.
Kathleen Reynolds passed away this morning at the family home in Dublin. The 88-year-old was a Sligo native and was also the mother of seven children.
She was well known in the 1990s when she accompanied her husband on several foreign trips while the Longford TD served as Taoiseach between 1992 and 1994.

She is understood to have been ill for some time and no details of her funeral have yet been announced.
