People urged to regulate festive drinking By Hazel Nolan
Alcohol Action Ireland is urging the public to be conscious of their drinking while at home.
The group says a person should only be consuming a maximum of 6 standard drinks in one sitting.
One standard drink is a half pint of beer, a single measure of spirits or a small glass of wine.
The group s Euanan McKinney says with pubs closed, it can be more difficult to regulate your drinking: There is somebody monitoring your behaviour, or at least mindful that if you are drinking too much that they will ask you to stop, he said.
