Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter in fury after the club announced that Paulo Gazzaniga had left north London to join Elche on loan.
The 29-year-old was, clearly, surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho, and has been shipped off to La Liga.

There may not be much news with regards to Tottenham Hotspur’s first team, but there’s plenty action in the U23s. In addition to the expected raft of loans this window, Spurs have cut bait on a number of recent academy graduates. The latest to go, after Anthony Georgiou and Maurizio Pochettino, is goalkeeper Jonathan De Bie, who is heading to Belgium on a permanent deal.
We have reached agreement with Belgian First Division B side R.W.D. Molenbeek for the transfer of Jonathan De Bie.

There aren’t too many days left in the January transfer window, but while few expect Tottenham Hotspur to make a big splash in the market, we’re already seeing a number of younger players head out on loan for the rest of the season. Now, it looks like we’re about to see another example of that.
Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas is reporting this morning that 22-year old Spurs academy grad and keeper Brandon Austin is heading on loan to Orlando City for the entirety of the MLS season, without a purchase option.
