A smattering of former sports stars will be joined by actors, media personalities, a Bra Boy, musicians, and a former politician, with the series to be produced by Screentime, a Banijay Group company. Leading the names are former NRL and rugby player Sam Burgess, ex-tennis star Mark Philippoussis, and dual Olympian Jana Pittman, plus Ironman Jett Kenny, Olympian John Steffensen and AFL player Heath Shaw, among others whose former sporting prowess should leave them in relatively good stead for the challenge.

Share A large tarmac area with a stage was also visible - a place where lead trainer Ant Middleton has been known to torment recruits in the past. There are a few more buildings further down - perhaps for the cast or crew to stay in - and fully functioning portaloos on site. The location is set amid an abundance of trees and rolling mountains, meaning it would be hard for a member of the public to simply stumble across. Team work: After the 18 new recruits were announced on Monday, it appears Channel Seven have chosen a whole new - and much warmer - location for their celebrities to film at this season.
