Russell Folkes got suspended sentence for assault when he appeared at Norwich Crown Court

A man living in a Norwich hostel for the homeless assaulted another resident after coming at him with a bread knife, a court heard.
Russell Folkes, 47, and the victim had both been drinking when they became involved in a dispute and Folkes caused a cut to the hand of the victim after he grabbed the blade, Norwich Crown Court heard.
Oliver Haswell, prosecuting, said Folkes planned to use the bread knife only to intimidate the victim, who was at at hostel on Bishopbridge.

Two men who were involved in the supply of cocaine in the Ipswich area have been jailed.
Police arrested Ardit Palluci and Leonard Neza after stopping their car in Milner Street, Ipswich.

Palluci was found in possession of seven wraps of cocaine and a key to a hotel room and Neza had £700 cash in a pocket of his jeans, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

An Ipswich man who spat at a neighbour and told him to “go back to his own country” before kicking and punching him has been given a community order.
Sentencing Kyle Kidd-Stanton, Judge William Clegg said: “This is a serious offence made all the more serious by the deeply offensive language you used.”
Kidd-Stanton was seen climbing out of a window in an agitated state before going to his neighbour’s front door and ringing the bell continuously, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
