Gleasons sentimental Tiny Torpedo

Sometimes cousins are more like brothers. Thats certainly the case with Bassmaster Elite Series pro Darold Gleason and his younger cousin Jared Burns, and a nearly 30-year-old Tiny Torpedo topwater lure on the dashboard of Gleasons Toyota Tundra serves as a daily reminder of that bond.
I grew up mostly fishing in ponds, and this Tiny Torpedo was one of the first artificial lures I ever used as a teenager, remembers Gleason, winner of the 2019 Central Open on Toledo Bend. Jared is six years younger than me, so as I got older and started fishing from a bass boat, I gave him this exact Tiny Torpedo to use in his pond fishing.
LONG-anticipated demolition work is finally progressing well at a Carlisle site that has been considered something of an eyesore for decades. The Dias Building on Botchergate has stood empty for more than 30 years. Formerly a musical instrument retailer, current owners Persimmon Homes confirmed plans to demolish it in February. A spokeswoman for Persimmon Homes Lancashire said: “Demolition work on the Dias building site is progressing to schedule and we expect to be completed within the next six weeks, allowing South Henry Street to be re-opened to traffic. “We would like to thank the local community for their patience while the road closure and diversion are in place to enable the demolition to be carried out safely.”
Team Arey: Big shishes and strawberry shortcake

To most fans, anybody making a living in the professional bass fishing business has the coolest job in the world. But what gets overlooked so often is the loneliness of being away from home and the people you love for hundreds of nights a year. And few miss home and his three girls more than Matt Arey.
Absolutely, 120-percent, no doubt, the toughest part of my job is the time Im away from my awesome wife Emily and my two little girls, said Arey minutes prior to the start of day 4 at the Neely Henry Lake Bassmaster Elite Series.
Cumbria County Council is looking to include the paths in its Definitive Map through a modification order. The group has been battling for years to have a network of footpaths registered as public rights of way. And they ve been involved in a long running dispute with the landowner about access to the site. In 2017, for example, the fight came to a head at a meeting of the county council s development control and regulation committee, where a decision was taken. The landowner objected to a motion put forward by Labour county councillor Alan McGuckin proposing that the rights of way be implemented.
Elites starting over at Neely Henry

Rain fell on Alabama Tuesday with the same equivalency as Crimson Tide football players being taken in the first round of last weeks NFL draft. Four to six inches of rain soaked the Gadsden, area during the second day of practice for this weeks Bassmaster Elite Series tournament on Neely Henry Lake.
Streets flooded, lots of lightning strikes caused major power outages, schools were delayed Wednesday morning and pretty much everything Jay Yelas and the other Elite Series pros learned during Mondays practice got flushed down the Coosa River on Tuesday.
