Clinic is first of its kind in Wichita Falls
The first school-based community health center in Wichita Falls was dedicated Friday.
It s the Community Healthcare Center at Zundy, located at 2412 Avenue H, adjacent to Zundy Elementary School.
Although it is located at a school, the center is open to everyone in the community.
It s a satellite clinic under the Community Healthcare Center, a federally qualified health center located at 200 Martin Luther King, Jr.
The new center has two healthcare providers who see patients Monday through Friday, along with seven support staff members.
The facility takes Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, STAR, STAR+Plus, STAR Kids, BCBS, TRICARE and most private insurances. It also offers a sliding scale discount to patients based on family size and income.
