MONROE, Wis. Pour your favorite beverage and settle in for nights of outstanding music. The Monroe Arts Center will offer virtual concerts throughout spring. The concerts will be available the second weekend of each month, March through June, free of charge.
“It has been a year since the Monroe Arts Center shut its doors due to the global pandemic,” said Kathy Hennessey, executive director for MAC. “In that time, we have felt the support of the community every single day. These four concerts are our way of saying thank you to those who continue to care about the arts and specifically the Monroe Arts Center. We look forward to the day that is coming soon that we can welcome back our audiences in person.”
For more than a decade, the Times-Union has run a weekly feature called Ticket Tracker that lists concerts planned for the region. On March 13, 2020, just as COVID-19 was breaking out across the country and forcing venues and promoters to cancel or postpone shows, Ticket Tracker listed 130 shows. March 12: All events scheduled at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Beach through April 1 are postponed. Michael Buble reschedules March 17 show at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. America cancels a March 25 show at the Florida Theatre.

March 13: 16 performances of Hamilton at the Times-Union Center, scheduled to start March 17, are postponed.
