Multi-billion fuel boost ‘incredibly important’ for all Australians: Energy Minister18/05/2021|5min
Energy Minister Angus Taylor has touted the Morrison government’s $2 billion fuel security package as important for all Australians who drive to work each day.
The scheme was announced on Monday by Prime Minister Scott Morrison to save Australia’s two remaining oil refineries in Brisbane and Geelong.
The security package will involve a 1.8 cent per litre support payment for refined fuel in Australia over the next nine years which will provide additional assistance in the face of price pressures.
Mr Taylor said the oil refinery package was “incredibly important” for all those Australians who rely on fuel for their work every day.
