The funding from Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s budget will go towards the Able Marine Energy Park (AMEP) project, a port facility for offshore wind. AMEP represents a total £450 million investment from Able UK, a market leader in the field of renewable energy, and will cover an area of 783 acres on the Killingholme coast.

£12m Mablethorpe leisure centre redevelopment plans unveiled Plans for a £12million redevelopment of Mablethorpe Station Sports Centre have been unveiled. The proposals from East Lindsey District Council will see the new facility, to be renamed the “Station Leisure and Learning Hub”, include a fitness suite and 25m swimming pool, as well as community and digital learning spaces. Residents are being asked to take part in a full consultation on the proposals ahead of the planning application being submitted later this summer.
