NSW s COVID-19 outbreak has spread out of Greater Sydney into rural areas, prompting a lockdown in the city of Dubbo, the Hunter region, Armidale and Tamworth as well as Byron Bay and surrounding areas.
Two men in their 90s died after testing positive to the virus: one had received one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and another had received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
One of the men had a single dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine while the other had two doses of Pfizer. Both vaccines are around 90 per cent effective at stopping death.
