A Bexar County grand jury indicted a former San Antonio police officer, accusing him of sharing confidential information with a known felon and lying to another officer about the felon. The indictment of Ronaldo Segovia, 40, on two counts of misuse of official information, a third-degree felony, was announced Wednesday by the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. Officers launched an administrative and criminal investigation of Segovia in May 2019, the San Antonio Police Department said in a statement. The indictment alleges that on May 2, 2019, Segovia, “with intent to harm or defraud another, namely, Victor Lara, disclosed to Arthur Perez” information on Lara’s vehicle registration information that Segovia had access to because he was a police officer.
