ILOILO CITY, June 6 (PIA) - Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. is optimistic that the implementation of the municipal quarantine and the imposition of restrictions on non-essential travels within and into the province will result to a decline in the number of cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a press conference, Defensor appealed to the residents in the province to avoid non-essential travels for two weeks, from June 4 to June 18, 2021, pursuant to Executive Order 175. We have to capacitate ourselves to deal with or attend to our patients with COVID-19 and we have to counter the increasing trend of transmission by reducing the circulation of people in the province, he said.

ILOILO CITY, June 3 (PIA) - Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. has issued a memorandum that clarified guidelines on the imposition of restrictions on non-essential travel within and into Iloilo Province.
The memorandum, pursuant to Executive Order (EO) No. 175, Series of 2021, contained guidelines regarding the implementation of the municipal quarantine from June 4 to 18, particularly the issuance of travel pass.
Defensor enjoined the Philippine National Police provincial director, municipal and city chiefs of police, city and municipal mayors, local task forces, and punong barangays to strictly implement and observe these guidelines.
