ILOILO CITY The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) has cited the web-based application (app) for contact tracing of Iloilo province as one of the best in terms of responses to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Iloilo provincial government’s Reverse Isolation and Contact Tracing Application (RIsC TrAp) won first place for Best COVID-19 Pandemic Response provincial category at the DICT’s Digital Governance Awards in an online ceremony Friday, December 11.
The RIsC TrAp was broached by Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., who wanted to boost the capabilities of local government and barangay health workers in the 42 towns and component city of Passi to efficiently handle its responses against COVID-19.

December 11, 2020 THE Iloilo Provincial Government’s web-based contact tracing app was hailed as best Covid-19 response initiative among provinces in the entire country.
Its Reverse Isolation and Contact Tracing Application (RIsC TrAp) entry won first place for Best Covid-19 Pandemic Response provincial category at the Digital Governance Awards of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) given on December 11, 2020 via Zoom.
RIsC TrAp is a brainchild of Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. and was developed by the Information and Communication Technology Management Office (ICTMO).
The app was designed to establish and maintain a database of residents, monitor their travel history, and control the entry and exit of persons to and from every barangay.
