Covid-19 could not spoil 74-year-old Arthur O’Sullivan s promise of delivering Christmas joy to a nurse at his local hospital, with cake, after she soothed him with a song while he laid on a trolley after collapsing at his birthday party on Christmas Eve, four years ago.

Frank “Educational” Gilmore, in partnership with Diamonds & Heels Social Club and Urban Outreach Services, gave away about 1,000 toys, clothes, electronics and more at the Educational Gilmore Learning Center on Monticello Avenue. Gilmore said he wanted to have his own “72-Hours of Giveaways,” a version of Ellen’s “Greatest Night of Giveaways,” which he was featured in last year.
