Fifty Stars is the horse to beat at
Flemington as he searches for a back-to-back
Australian Cup victory this afternoon.
The six-year-old was simply too good in the 2000m Group 1 this time last year, finishing over the top of his rivals under rider
John Allen who will partner up with the entire again this time around.
The
Lindsay Park stable is sticking with a proven formula for Fifty Stars ($4.40F with TAB) heading into the big race, backing him up a week on from the
Group 2 Blamey Stakes as they did last year.
The first 10 owner ambassadors for this year’s All-Star Mile have been announced.
The lucky punters are in the running to win a share in $500,000 on All-Star Mile day at The Valley on March 13.
One owner ambassador has been chosen at random from the voters for each of the first 10 horses in this year’s field, with $250,00 going to the person whose horse win’s this year’s race.
The 2020 All-Star Mile produced a sensational owner ambassador story with single mother Tegan Abercrombie using the $250,000 for a house deposit and a new car after Regal Power saluted in the race.
