Arkansas residents and travelers have made the Trail of Holiday Lights an annual holiday tradition for 25 years. Cities and towns across the state get into the spirit, decking the halls and bringing families together.
It s a December tradition that hasn t gone away in 2020.
Viewing Christmas lights the white ones, the ones in bright colors, the ones set to music is a staple of the season. It s one of the few things that hasn t changed in 2020 because viewers were already socially distancing in their cars or can easily do so in a park. And for some, that might be all the more reason to get out of the house and do it.
The Times Record has compiled the best places to view holiday lights in the Fort Smith region.
1. Creekmore Park
It s the Christmas staple of Fort Smith. Light-up cartoon characters and animations each December line the sidewalks of Creekmore Park, creating great sightseeing for folks strolling throught. This year, the park features a light-up train, dinosaur and even Blue from Blue s Clues.
