Man Stabs Girlfriend to Death Atop Mountain, Is Jailed for Life

A man in Arkansas has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after he admitted to killing his girlfriend atop a mountain, dragging her body to a clearing and then driving away, local media reported on Monday.
Victoria Tori Lowry, 20, was fatally stabbed in the chest after she was driven to the top of a mountain in Bismarck, Arkansas, in May of last year.
Deadrick Garner, 21, admitted he then stole Lowry s car, and drove it to a friends house in Missouri where he discarded his clothes, according to a statement issued by Teresa Howell, prosecuting attorney for the Seventh Judicial District of Arkansas .

Timothy Aaron Liveley of Mountain Home, who was given five years probation in late August 2018 after entering a guilty plea to charges stemming from threats to kill his mother and burn down her house, was back in court Monday charged with violating his probation.
The third amended petition to revoke his suspended sentence in the 2018 case was filed late last month.
The petition alleges a number of violations of the terms and conditions of his probation the 40-year-old Liveley is reported to have committed, including failing to report, non-payment of fines and fees, changing residences without notifying his probation officer and evading supervision.
Anna Runau was found guilty of criminal attempt to commit first degree murder and sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. Runau, 24, was charged following a stabbing at Buzzard Roost Marina that was reported Aug. 31, 2015.
Arkansas Department of Corrections records show Runau’s earliest possible parole date is scheduled for May 25, just four days after her 21-year-old sister Amber Runau is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing.
