The police have provided more details about the operation that led to the fatal shooting of one of Clarendon’s most wanted men, Fitzroy Coore, in Manchester on Sunday.
Reports are that about 6 pm on December 27, an intelligence-driven operation led members of the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Division (C-TOC) to premises in the community of May Day in Manchester, in search of 26-year Coore, otherwise called ‘OJ’.
Upon the arrival of the police, the police reportedly announced themselves and asked that the occupants of a dwelling exit the premises and surrender.
Coore is said to have then appeared on the verandah, using two women as human shields.
A person was arrested with 20.3g of heroin from Udumulla area in Mulleriyawa Police Division by the Organized Crime Division today. The suspect is a 43 year old, a resident of Mulleriya area.
