The filing of nominations for various executive positions for the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) ended by the close of work on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Those who filed for the presidency are Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfuor of Atinka Media Village, Mr Gayheart Mensah, a Media Consultant and Mr Dave Agbenu of the New Times Corporation. Govt gets no application for Khaledaâs treatment abroad: Kamal

DHAKA, May 4, 2021 (BSS) â Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said no request has been made to the government to take BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia abroad for her medical treatment.
âWe have not received any application from Khaleda Ziaâs family to take her abroad for treatment,â he said while talking to journalists after distributing âEid giftsâ on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to unemployed people at Nazneen School in the cityâs East Rajabazar.
The minister said the government has already extended Khaleda Ziaâs imprisonment suspension for another six months allowing her to receive treatment staying home.
