In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in the region, the district administration on March 12 had mandated stricter measures to curb the virus spread. In keeping with the fresh directives, the number of people permitted at wedding parties were capped at 50, bringing it down from the earlier 200-odd guest limit.

KARACHI: Organisers of the Pakistan-wide Aurat March, a rally to mark International Women s Day every year, have the full support of the PPP-led government of Sindh for women rights, the party s head assured them on Wednesday.
PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari met with a delegation of the Aurat March Karachi s organisers, who called on him to discuss the problems they were facing in the aftermath of the rally, as well as the security concerns due to a false propaganda had been unleashed against them .

The dust has barely settled on the weekend s inaugural Sound Valley music festival but organiser Gioia Damosso says she s already getting stuck into plans for next year s edition. There s not really any rest for the wicked, Damosso said. I ve got a weeks worth of admin to catch up on, then it s cracking on to announcing the dates for next year, and getting a line up on board. Festival raises $11k
The annual Pauls Road Live music festival raised more than $11,000 for Gabby s Starlit Hope Charity. The charity was set up by Gabby Devine in early 2014, after she was diagnosed with Ewing s sarcoma the previous year. Devine died in 2015 aged 13, but the charity has continued in her honour. Three Whanganui and New Plymouth families with children who have cancer have been gifted $3770 each. The charity thanked festival organisers Fred Loveridge and Kerry O Sullivan, the Butlers for hosting, all the local bands that performed and everyone who attended and supported the event.
