You’re driving to an appointment, but you’re running late, and you’re stuck at a red light. Being a law-abiding citizen, you won’t run the light, but you floor the gas
Why Renting a Car Right Now Might Leave You Stranded
My sister went through a hellish ordeal when she flew in from Seattle to Dallas. She had reserved a car and when she showed up she was told the only way she could get a rental car was if she got a ride to another airport several miles away and then she was stuck with paying over $300 per day for an SUV. My sister then had to pay over $100 for an Uber ride and paid the astronomical prices for a rental.
I remember thinking what if I was told I had to spend an extra $1,000 just to get around during a quick 4-day trip? This girl would be riding a bicycle like I was Lance Armstrong. I would faint halfway to my destination. Unfortunately, this is happening to several traveling Americans. Why? Rental car companies had to adapt during the pandemic, and now they are in crisis mode.
VIRGINIA â Ice bumpers cars are coming to the new Miners Event and Convention Center (MECC) in Virginia this fall, making it one of 27 locations worldwide to feature the attraction.
The MECCâs 12 ice bumper cars are being built in Colorado, home to the invention, and are expected to be ready when the new building opens in September.
âWhen it comes to recreation for the city, Iâm always trying to think outside the box and find a new niche that will make Virginia stand out,â said Brian Silber, director of Virginia Parks and Recreation, in a press release. âWhen I came across the Ice Bumper Car company while working on concepts for the MECC, I knew this attraction would be a great fit and something for the community to be excited about.â

SAN FRANCISCO, April 27, 2021 /PRNewswire/ In the 40-some years since the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, scientists have learned a lot about the virus, the disease, and ways to treat it. But one thing they still don t completely understand is which exact cells are most susceptible to HIV infection.
Without this knowledge, it is difficult to envision targeting these cells to protect the millions of people who encounter the virus for the first time every year, or the infected people in which infection will likely rebound if they go off therapy.
