SUNY Potsdam s 2021 virtual LoKo Arts Festival set for April 29 to May 9 | Arts and Entertainment

POTSDAM — Artists from the SUNY Potsdam campus and around the country will come together virtually for the 2021 LoKo Arts Festival, which runs today through Sunday, May 9. The 2021 festival features a range of performances, workshops and exhibitions. All events are free and available online. Some events require registration. The festival will open with a poetry reading by acclaimed Latino poet Martin Espada, from his most recent collection, “Floaters,” followed by a performance from the Crane Jazz Ensemble and Giroux Honors Jazz Combo. Will lack of social interaction during pandemic have lasting impact on those with autism? Kelly Ring reports.  SEMINOLE, Fla. - At times, 21-year-old Aaron Moore has found the past year just as confusing as everyone else.  I was more confused about the whole toilet paper thing, because like, it’s just toilet paper. I don’t get it, he recalled.  Aaron Moore was diagnosed with autism when he was seven.  I had to figure out how far apart 6-feet was, because I was still learning math at that point, he said. His mother, Angela Moore, was concerned when his school went virtual in March of 2020.
