A QPR XI were beaten 3-1 in a friendly match by Brentford B on Thursday afternoon.
Hosted at the Bees’ Jersey Road training ground, the fixture provided some members of Mark Warburton’s squad, as well as a number of young players, with an opportunity to get some minutes under their belts.
Charley Kendall netted for the R’s, with Albert Gilbert and Aaron Pressley – who hit a double, on target for Brentford.
The hosts broke the deadlock on 20 minutes when Gilbert tapped home from close range. Stephen Duke-McKenna and Dillon De Silva both fired efforts goalwards, as the R’s looked for a quick response, but they were unable to level before half-time.
