Stockton motorcyclist captured in police pursuit Branden Swamy An unsafe maneuver that nearly caused a collision with another vehicle at Herndon Road and Joyce Avenue prompted a Ceres officer to go after its rider on Friday evening which ended in an arrest after a high-speed chase. At 9:08 p.m., Officer Aaron Pinon attempted to stop motorcyclist Branden Swamy, 33, of Stockton, after he saw the reckless move. When the patrol car lights and siren were activated Swamy accelerated to 70 mph northbound on Herndon Road in an attempt to flee the officer.  A pursuit weaved around the residential areas west of Herndon Road and south of River Road before making it to northbound Highway 99 where he accelerated to over 110 mph. Officer Pinon received the help of other agencies – including the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
