Episode 6 of
AEW Dark: Elevation featured QT Marshall sucker punching Billy Gunn and Kenny Omega gifting us with his greatness in the trios main event.
When a god of professional wrestling graces
Dark: Elevation with his presence, it is time to pay attention. Omega teamed with MT Nakazawa and Konosuke Takeshita to battle Matt Sydal, Mike Sydal, & Danny Limelight. Omega’s squad worked a grounded attack with quick tags, while the Sydal brothers and Limelight added flashy flying assaults. Kenny’s crew took control by running a train on Limelight.

Former English boxing Olympian Anthony Ogogo made his in-ring debut on tonight’s AEW
Dynamite. He defeated Cole Karter in a quick match, putting his opponent down with a strong punch to the midsection. The referee ended up calling for the bell to stop the match.
Ogogo is currently a member of QT Marshall’s stable (along with Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto) after the group split away from The Nightmare Family.

– AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks talk about turning on Jon Moxley last week. Matt says they chose friendship and thanked Moxley for pushing them over the edge. Matt says they are family, and finally understands what Don Callis was telling them. They haven’t been the same and let others change the narrative of them. Matt says maybe it’s time to show a newer, better version of themselves (as we see their old gear getting clipped up).
SCU (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) defeated Jay Lyon & Midas Black (3:21)
Lyon and Black made their debut on Monday. Honestly, no one should be working both these shows in the same week.
Kazarian destroyed Black with some chops in the corner and you could hear Lyon shout “Hey! That’s my friend!” which made me chuckle. It was the usual SCU formula of Kazarian dominating and Daniels getting the tag and losing the advantage. Lyon hit a somersault senton on Daniels through a hoop held by Black. (Note they have a lion tamer/circus gimmick.) SCU came back and finished Lyons with the Best Meltzer Ever to keep their winning streak alive.
Hey everyone! It’s Tuesday. You know what that means.

Let’s jump into this week’s episode of AEW Dark.
SCU (8-0) vs. Jay Lyon & Midas Black (0-1)
Excalibur and Taz already got me cracking up and the first match hasn’t even started yet. This is what makes AEW Dark enjoyable whether there are 10 matches, 15 matches, or 115 matches. Just kidding, AEW. Please don’t do 115 matches. As I mention often, putting ANYONE in the ring with Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian is going to help them improve their skills. Lyon and Black got that opportunity here, and even if it was a pretty one-sided match, it’s a tape those two can study to learn from two of the best in the business. Taz absolutely lost his mind at Lyon and Black using the hula hoop circus routine, which is no surprise. Daniels and Kazarian hit the Best Meltzer Driver Ever for the easy win at 3:27
