Sheil Kapadia’s grade:
B-plus
Melifonwu is a big (6-foot-3, 205), long (32 1/4-inch arms) corner who started 19 games at Syracuse and had good ball production (26 passes defended and three interceptions). He has the traits that teams covet in a press corner and was a nice pick here by Detroit.
ROUND 4
No. 112: Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC
Chris Burke’s analysis: The Lions finally added a much-needed receiver at pick No. 112. A 6-foot, 197-pounder, St. Brown was ranked 67th overall on Dane Brugler’s draft board. He should drop right into the lineup as the projected starting slot a strong pass catcher who runs sharp routes and can move the chains.
