2021 LA Poker Classic is On, WPT Not Involved

The 2021 LA Poker Classic will take place this month, but this year’s major poker tournament won’t be affiliated with the World Poker Tour. And the series won’t last throughout the month, a stark contrast from year’s past. But the $10,000 Main Event, one of poker’s biggest annual events, is still on.

Last year’s LAPC, one of the most prestigious live tournaments in poker, still hasn’t finished. It began at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, playing down to a final table on March 2. That final table was scheduled for the Luxor on the Las Vegas Strip April 2, 2020. But a global health pandemic struck, forcing the postponement of the finale.

Letters to parents list COVID-19 infections at Oak Ridge Schools

Oak Ridge Schools Superintendent Bruce Borchers has stated in letters over the past few days that various students and staff at various schools have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Wednesday, he reported one Jefferson Middle School student had tested positive who was last at a school building or event Feb. 5. In the same letter, he said two Oak Ridge High School students tested positive who were last in school buildings or events Friday, Feb. 19, and Wednesday, Feb. 24.
As of Wednesday, no Oak Ridge Schools staff were currently positive but 0.19% of Oak Ridge Schools students were positive. All parties are currently isolated at home, Borchers stated in the letter.
