MADISON, Wis. After a large COVID outbreak from a coronavirus variant at a Dane County childcare center earlier this week, local health officials are stressing the importance of monitoring children for symptoms, and getting them tested.
“I want to reiterate how critical it is to get tested if you or your child develops COVID-19 symptoms,” Public Health Madison and Dane County director Janel Heinrich said during a weekly city briefing on Thursday. “Don’t mistake these symptoms for allergies, get tested.”
Health officials say Dane County COVID cases have been increasing in the past week, which is all the more reason to get tested if you’re feeling symptoms.
